Arkansas, known as the natural state has some of the most beautiful wedding chapels.  My top 4 wedding chapels in Arkansas. Akansas is home to mountains, caves , springs and streams. It’s one of the most beautiful states in the US. Is there a better way to celebrate your natural love than in a natural place? Brides often choose chapels as a wedding venue because of the spiritual connection and as a we to start their union on a spiritual note.

Mildred B Cooper

Fayetteville, Arkansas

Some say this the Mildred B Cooper chapel, I would have to disagree. It has a Gothic , yet natural  feel to it.  There are  15 main ,  50 feet high. Within the 15 arches are four Gothic arches. located on a wooden hilltop, Lake Norwood is visible from the chapel and the site is nestled between massive pines and oaks trees.  With any venue, natural light makes for the most amazing setting and the Mildred B Cooper chapel doesn’t disappoint. The transparent chapel creates some of the most beautiful shadows as well.  I think this one is my favorite wedding chapels in Arkansas. The architects of the chapel are local, E. Fay Jones and Maurice Jennings. This may be the most peaceful place on earth.

Sassafras Springs

Springdale, Arkansas.

The Chapel Ruins at Sassafras Springs Vineyard, is a luxurious new venue in Springdale and is a great choice for a wedding. The chapel has a beautiful setting, appearing to look like an old European style Chapel with architectural features from historical times. I’m sure you didn’t think  you would find this one in the South.

The Chapel Ruins was inspired by old church ruins that owner Cheryl Long discovered while traveling abroad   Anyone who knows me, knows that I love architecture  and that’s why this one made my list for my top wedding chapels in Arkansas. Although, it doesn’t look like if from the outside, it seats up to 300 guests and is the perfect place for a romantic setting. Chapel Ruins was built with Arkansas stone and is an outdoor chapel, surrounded by greenery and trees.

St Catherines at Bell Tower

Fayetteville, Arkansas

Made of stone and Gothic Styled, St Catherine’s  is a memorably scenic place for a wedding. The venue includes a panoramic landscape with a capability for an  indoor or outdoor ceremony. St. Catherine’s was began construction in the summer of 1986 and completed twelve years later. A stained glass window and doors from a church in England inspired the project.

The engineer who built the chapel, Lowell Boynton, used no plans, storing the details in his head during the years the church was under construction. The spiral staircase was inspired by the Chapel of the Sisters of Loretto in Santa Fe and was built in Pennsylvania. The pews are from a church in Cape Fair, Missouri.

The doors of St. Catherine’s are open to all faiths, and those who wish to pray or meditate are welcome. Its’ pretty obvious why this one made my list of favorite wedding chapels in Arkansas.

Anthony Chapel

Hot Springs, Arkansas

Located in Hot Springs, the Anthony Chapel is considered one of the most beautiful wedding venues in the state. In my opinion, it’s very similar to the Mildred B Cooper Chapel.  The six-story structure has floor-to-ceiling glass walls with views to the Woodlands. If you’re a outdoors lover who may want the comfort of being indoors, this on is for you. This venue hosts more than 160 weddings a year so if your’re interested in Anthony Chapel,  you should act fast.
