In 2019, Misha brought on additional associates , creating an all female team of wedding photographers and videographers. Lavishly Lux Studio has been featured in Brides Magazine, D Weddings, Black Bride, Munaluchi Bridal, Modern Luxury Brides and a number of other online bridal outlets.

You wanna talk trials and tribulations? First giving honor to God who is the head of all things holy (that southern baptist seeping out the bones): Many challenges and obstacles have shifted and shaped both the world and faith of Misha . From raising boys into men , to caring for a mother with Alzheimer’s, to being diagnosed with debilitating Endometriosis all while maintaining a small business. Love stories have kept a balance in life which inspired a better, more driven and purpose-filled woman and entrepreneur. Her greatest strength as an entrepreneur (humble brag, sit tight) is the self taught ability to brand and advertise business through social media and non-traditional marketing strategies. It’s amazing how women can pick up the pieces (as we normally do, no shade) all while building an empire, family and legacy. Ok, Maybe Beyonce was right, girls DO run the world.

In 2015, Lavishly Lux Studio was formed, to create a bigger and more flexible wedding photography collective.

Influenced by strong work ethic and an even stronger religious backbone to support it, the unknowingly blessed parents sprouted an artsy, high spirited, fearless, and somewhat introverted wild child who ruled the 70s in true form. Because of this upbringing, and the individual at hand, Misha decided to pursue a non-traditional career in Architecture with a side of art to fuel her creative appetite. The “wild child” fell in love with almost every discipline of art.

These days, time is split (not evenly though) twin sons , brunching with besties, and storytelling through the lens of people who trust Misha to capture their most precious moments. In 2008, her Wedding photography journey evolved from a simple picture to the idea of love, which escalated into the entrigue of art and it’s parallels. Misha’s specialty is capturing raw emotion in her images, with hopes that 20 years later, clients will have that exact same feeling when they see their photos from their special day again (never mind the outdated hair). Being a wedding photographer has been one of life’s biggest inspirations. Every weekend, new love is experienced and capturing all those moments turns passion from a job, into a bonafide calling. Loving what you do makes the hustle easy, but doing what you’re called to do makes the world continue to spin around and around.
