Planning on tying the knot in the beautiful city of Dallas? You’ve come to the right place! As a Dallas wedding photographer, I have been to practically every single possible wedding venue in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Today, I want to be a resource to all the brides and grooms-to-be searching for their dreaming wedding venue. If you’re considering a hotel in Dallas, let me tell you, there are some seriously beautiful ones. Dallas is home to all kinds of hotels, from lavish 5-star properties, to more quirky, boutique options. Keep reading to discover my top five picks for the best hotels in Dallas to host your wedding.

The Joule

I always get excited when I’m asked to photograph a Dallas wedding at The Joule. That’s because this downtown Dallas wedding venue is historic and contemporary all at once. Although the building was built in 1927 in the Neo-Gothic style, the inside has been completely renovated and is a contemporary wonderland. This venue has three different ballrooms, each with their own distinct style. They also have several salons, suitable for small ceremonies or cocktail hours. However, the best kept secret about The Joule is that it has has a truly STUNNING rooftop terrace with skyline views that is also available for weddings.

Sheraton Dallas Hotel

The Sheraton Dallas Hotel is a seasoned Dallas wedding venue at this point. In other words, they know what they’re doing. This Dallas hotel boasts over 200,000 square feet of event space, and has a team of wedding specialists on hand to make your big day a dream come true. They also have the largest ballroom in all of Texas in which to host your Dallas wedding, a banquet hall that is 41,000 square feet and has the capacity to seat nearly 3,000 guests. While they have too many ballrooms to count, the one that sticks out in my mind as a Dallas wedding photographer definitely has to be the ballroom on the top floor of the hotel, which has gorgeous 360 degree views of downtown Dallas. Finally, the Sheraton Dallas Hotel also happens to be located in the Arts District of Dallas (my fav part of the city).

The W Dallas

It doesn’t get more luxurious than the W Dallas! This hip, 5-star hotel is a stunning venue to host your Dallas wedding. It also has a newly renovated ballroom that couples are sure to love. The 4,000 square foot Great Room is the perfect spot for your ceremony, while their more intimate venue on the 33rd floor is ideal for receptions. The best thing about their 33rd floor ballroom is that it has panoramic views of Dallas, not to mention the huge outdoor terrace that you’ll surely want to take advantage of! Best of all, the W Dallas doesn’t skimp on the details. Their wedding packages can be fully customized and can include everything from valet parking to favors from Vosges Chocolates.

Hotel Crescent Court

In my opinion, the Hotel Crescent Court is one of the most elegant hotels in all of Dallas. Yes, it has ballrooms like the others listed here, but it also has one Dallas venue that takes my breath away every time I see it: The Courtyard Garden. In the middle of the hotel, there is a private garden that is always lush and filled with flowers no matter the season. Not only is it a great spot for couple’s portraits, but it is also the most wonderfully romantic spot for ceremonies. (As I always tell my couples, it’s also ideal if you have a smaller budget for flowers, as there is so much lush flora already around you.) There is even a glass-enclosed Garden Room right next to the garden in the event of inclement weather.

The Adolphus

With over 15 venues at The Adolphus, it can be hard to decide which one to host your Dallas wedding in. While I’ve photographed weddings in many of them and they were all gorgeous, I have to admit I’m partial to the all-white Grand Ballroom. Not only does white lend itself perfectly to weddings, but it provides a blank canvas for the floral and decor theme of your choice, and also is an ideal backdrop for wedding photos. Beyond the ballrooms, The Adolphus also has so many incredible spots for couple’s portraits. The historic exterior is nothing short of stunning, and there is even a rooftop pool that makes for a fun setting.
