There is a common misconception that eloping is just a “runaway,” “courthouse” or a “secret” destination wedding and some might even say taboo. We here at Lavishly Lux Studio disagree, we believe that elopements are just extremely intimate nuptials that don’t expect you to leave your hometown, but rather require you and your partner to be surrounded by your innermost circle (even if that means just you and your partner).
In fact, elopements have been some of our sweetest and most romantic events to photograph. Dallas is a massive city filled with character to fit any type of event and planning an elopement can be just a stressful as planning a huge wedding, so we’ve made it a bit simpler by compiling a list of venues that should suit your needs:
If you happen to also need a photographer, we would love to assist.

Ant Street Inn – Brenham, TX
Ant Street Inn seems to really channel a rustic or vintage feel. Located in downtown Brenham, they offer a handful of wedding options including a garden and a ballroom. These options that can be used separately or together to create your unique wedding vibe. Many of their packages include rental necessities, but Ant Street Inn prides itself on not restricting couples to a vendor list. Ant Street Inn also only books one wedding per weekend and gives each couple access to the building the day before and after. Paradise Cove at Lake Grapevine – Southlake, TX
For nature to be deeply rooted in your nuptials, we recommend a venue that is exactly what it says it is – Paradise Grove. Located on Lake Grapevine, Paradise Grove features both indoor and outdoor space all located near or on the Lake, so you can get a water view worth drooling over. Couples must book a wedding and reception package, meaning couples can get the best of both worlds with the indoor and outdoor style. Even if a reception isn’t in the cards for you and your future hubby, you could use that space as one to unwind. While the outdoor venue boasts a rustic and earthy vibe, the reception space (or indoor ceremony spot) would be an intimate and cozy place to cuddle in front of the massive stone fireplace and to begin your next chapter of life together as husband and wife.
