“Some people want it all, but I don’t want nothing at all f I ain’t got you”
Maxine and Deundrea are the sweetest two I’ve ever met. Their planner Rodriel of Leir Dor & Company referred this Memphis couple to us and I’m so glad she did. We traveled to Memphis for their fpr a cp;; themed Memphis engagement session. If you haven’t been to Memphis, I highly recommend that you add it to your places to visit. I found the cutest hotel in downtown Memphis, Hotel Napleon, a polished hotel in a vintage 1902 building. The intention was to use the hotel as a backdrop for the engagement session. Early that morning I walked the area to find a few more areas and found the new Hotel Indigo. Hotel Indigo is a small chain of boutique hotels, this one was Memphis themes, which was perfect.
Their chemistry was electrifying and fit perfect in the artistic boutique hotel.
I also found a few graffiti walls to use for a few urban looks. I love when couples choose a dressy outfit for and engagement session. I’ll often pair a more dressy look with a urban setting for a little interest.
We found a concrete and turf park close by that seemed to fit their causal choice.
Love our images? Prime lenses are my go-to, mainly to create a more dramatic look. I typically use a Sigma Art 50mm 1.4 for weddings and either a 35mm or 85mm. If you’re looking to try out a few lenses, I recommend renting first before buying just to see if you like it. My favorite rental company is Aperturent . If you would prefer to buy, take a look at a few of my favorites on Amazon.
